1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing rewritemyresume.net (the "Site") or purchasing any service from RewriteMyResume ("we," "us," "our," or "Service"), you ("Client," "you," "your") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use our Site or services.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and RewriteMyResume, a sole proprietorship operating in the State of Kentucky, United States.

2. Description of Services

RewriteMyResume provides professional resume writing and related career document services, including:

• Resume rewriting and optimization
• LinkedIn profile content writing
• Cover letter writing
• Career-related document preparation
• Optional strategy consultation calls (for applicable packages)

3. No Guarantee of Employment Outcomes

This is the most important section. By using our services, you acknowledge and agree that:

• We do not guarantee that you will obtain employment, interviews, callbacks, or any other career outcome.
• We do not guarantee any specific salary outcome, promotion, or career advancement.
• Employment outcomes depend on numerous factors outside our control, including your qualifications, experience, the job market, employer hiring practices, interview performance, and economic conditions.
• Any statistics, testimonials, or examples shared on our website represent past results and are not predictive of your results.
• Statements such as "get hired faster," "more interview callbacks," "land jobs," or similar marketing language are aspirational and reflect the goals our service is designed to support — not guaranteed outcomes.

4. Payment

All services must be paid for in full in advance through Stripe, our authorized payment processor. By providing payment, you authorize us to charge the agreed amount. Prices are listed in U.S. Dollars and exclude any applicable taxes that may apply to your jurisdiction.

5. Delivery

We will use commercially reasonable efforts to deliver completed work within the timeframe stated in your purchased package (typically 48 hours from receipt of a complete intake form). Delivery times begin only after we have received all required information from you, including but not limited to your current resume or work history, target role information, and any package-specific details.

Delays caused by client inaction, missing information, or unclear requirements are not our responsibility, and the delivery clock pauses until requested information is received.

6. Refund Policy

Refunds are issued only in the following circumstances:

• We fail to deliver the contracted work within 14 days of receiving your completed intake form, and the delay is solely due to our action or inaction (not yours).
• Duplicate or accidental charges processed in error.

Refunds are NOT issued for:

• Dissatisfaction with the writing style, tone, or creative direction (one revision is included to address this).
• Failure to obtain employment, interviews, or any career outcome.
• Client's change of mind after work has begun.
• Client's failure to use the delivered materials.
• Errors caused by inaccurate or incomplete information provided by the Client.
• Any subjective complaints about quality not raised within the included revision period.

All package tiers include one round of revisions (or more for higher tiers as specified). Use this revision window to request changes — once revisions are accepted or the revision window passes, the order is considered complete and final.

7. Client Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide truthful, accurate, and complete information about your work history, education, and qualifications.
• Not request or include any false, misleading, exaggerated, or fabricated information in your resume.
• Submit the same email address used for payment when completing the intake form.
• Review delivered materials promptly and request revisions within the included revision window.
• Respect intellectual property — do not redistribute, resell, or share our writing templates, frameworks, or methodology with third parties.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy and truthfulness of all information you provide. We will write based on the information you supply; we do not verify employment history, credentials, or claims.

8. Intellectual Property

Your content: The factual information you provide about your work history, education, and experience remains yours.

Our work product: Upon full payment, you receive a license to use the final deliverable (your rewritten resume, cover letter, LinkedIn content) for personal employment-seeking purposes. You may not resell, redistribute, or use our work product for commercial purposes beyond your own job search.

Our methodology: Our writing templates, frameworks, processes, content guidelines, and the underlying methodology used to create your deliverables remain our exclusive intellectual property.

Our services and the Site are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranties arising from course of dealing or usage of trade.

We do not warrant that your resume will pass any specific Applicant Tracking System (ATS), generate interviews, lead to employment, or produce any specific outcome.

11. AI and Automated Tools

We use artificial intelligence (AI) tools, including third-party large language models, as part of our writing process. Final deliverables are reviewed and edited by a human before delivery. By using our services, you consent to your provided information being processed by these AI tools solely for the purpose of fulfilling your order.

12. Free AI Optimizer Tool

We offer a free AI-powered resume optimizer tool on our Site. This tool is provided as a complimentary service and is separate from our paid services. The free tool's output is generated entirely by AI without human review and is provided "AS IS" with no warranties or guarantees of any kind.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless RewriteMyResume, its owner, employees, contractors, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising from:

• Your violation of these Terms;
• Your provision of false, misleading, or fabricated information;
• Your use of the delivered materials in any manner that violates law or third-party rights;
• Any employment-related claim made by you or against you that relates to materials we provided.

14. Termination

We reserve the right to refuse service, cancel orders, or terminate this agreement at our sole discretion if we believe a Client has violated these Terms, provided false information, engaged in abusive conduct, or for any other reason permitted by law. In the event of termination by us for non-Client-cause reasons, we will refund any payment made for undelivered work.

15. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration

Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising from or relating to these Terms or our services shall be resolved as follows:

1. Informal resolution first: You agree to first contact us at hello@rewritemyresume.net and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days before pursuing any formal action.
2. Binding arbitration: If informal resolution fails, all disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. Arbitration shall take place in Kentucky or via remote/online proceedings.
3. Class action waiver: You agree to resolve disputes on an individual basis only. You waive any right to participate in a class action, class arbitration, or representative proceeding against us.
4. Small claims exception: Either party may bring an individual action in small claims court in lieu of arbitration.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Where arbitration does not apply, exclusive jurisdiction and venue lie in the state and federal courts located in Kentucky.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable while preserving its intent.

19. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and RewriteMyResume regarding the use of our services and supersede any prior agreements.
